Kitchen Cleaning With Used Lemons

Author: Karon Grieve Published : August 2012

This week it has all been fruity/veggy home hints for cleaning, so I thought I’d finish the week off with one more – Lovely Lemons.

Lemons are big in the arsenal of household cleaners, they are cheap, quick and fast to use and are antibacterial as well as having the most wonderfully fresh scent. So why go for lemon scented products when you can harness the power of the real thing.

Make sure you get the utmost mileage from your lemons after cooking with them.

Kitchen Cleaning With Lemons;

Quickly wipe off your chopping boards, this will cleanse, deodorize and freshen them for next use, plus kill off any nasty bugs lurking there.

Use the last dregs of a lemon to give your sink a quick zap of cleanliness.

Kitchen cleaning with lemons and making full use of those you have already cooked with couldn’t be easier. By the way this is a stunt lemon, normally I always use the rind of any self respecting lemon before it ever reaches the last bastion of use and ends up in the sink etc. But alas a bald lemon ain’t quite so photogenic.

Have a great weekend.
