A merry Monday morning to you all out there in Blog Land. I’m back at BBC Radio Scotland again today (3 times in a week, this must be a record!) to finish off the Bicarb Challenge we started on Friday.
We gave one of the reporters the task of trying out some of the myriad of uses for Bicarbonate of Soda. Everyone thinks of one use (or maybe even 2 or 3) for Baking Soda, keeping the fridge fresh, or scattering on carpets etc to soak up nasty niffs, but there are so many uses for this marvelous stuff. Our reporter was to try out the following over the weekend;
Four Fabulous Uses For Bicarbonate Of Soda
Bicarb Tooth Whitener – Put a dab of bicarb on top of your normal toothpaste while brushing. Bicarb is in a lot of high end tooth pastes anyway. You’ll feel the smooth freshness right away!
Bicarb Deodorant (did warn her not to try this one with a black top – so not happening!
Bicarb Facial Exfoliant – A teaspoon of bicarb on the palm of your hand and a teaspoon of water. Mix to a paste and gently massage into face. Will get rid of dead skin cells and leave your face beautifully smooth.
Bicarb Fabric Softener – 1/2 cup in rinse drawer of washing machine to soften those towels etc and also keep clothes fresh and colours bright.
The show is on this morning 10.30-12 noon and our spot is 10.50am. Am I going to have a convert to my natural ways or is she going to slate the natural home ideas in favour of her usual commercial stuff?
Have a nice day.
