Beauty Benefits Of Strawberries

beauty benefits of strawberries

Another strawberry day and today it is time we thought right outside the tummy and got into some beauty benefits of strawberries.  Yes, this fabulous fruit has some great properties that make it beneficial in all sorts of ways.

FACIAL TONER –  Strawberries contain high levels of hydroxy acid that is wonderful at sloughing off dead skin cells in a gentle way. Just slice a large berry in half and gently wipe the cut side all over your face. Leave for 5 minutes and then rinse off with cool water. Your skin will feel instantly smoother and fresher.

EYE SOOTHER –   If you suffer from puffy eyes and are bored with using cucumber slices try a sliced strawberry instead. It will have the same cooling and tightening effect on the skin.

OILY SKIN – It doesn’t seem to matter how old we are, breakouts can happen at any time. This is a great recipe for a simple faceial mask that really helps deal with oily and acne prone skin. Mash up about 4 large strawberries with a tablespoon of natural yogurt, a blender is the perfect tool for this job to get a really smooth mixture. Smooth this all over your face and then lie back and relax for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat skin dry.

HEAVENLY HAIR – Mash together about 6 strawberries with a tablespoon of mayonnaise and gently massage into dampened hair. Leave for 10 minutes and then rinse and shampoo as normal. You will have shining, soft and smooth hair and smell fab!

SMILE PLEASE – Strawberries are a natural tooth whitener. Just cut one in half and rub the open side against your teeth for a gleaming white smile. Forget chemicals, get fruity!

Try some of these beauty benefits of strawberries today. They aren’t just for eating and drinking and making merry, they are berry beautiful too!
