Pork Chops With Apples And Sage

An easy recipe for pork chops served with an apple and sage creamy sauce and topped with ginger spiced apple.

Ingredients
 

  • 2 pork loin chops

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 4 sage leaves minced
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 50 ml apple juice
  • 50 ml Greek yogurt
  • 50 ml chicken stock or vegetable or pork stock
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Topping

  • 2 slices apple
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1/2 tsp honey

Finishing off

  • 2 sage leaves

Instructions
 

  • Grill the chops and set aside keeping them warm
  • Make the sauce by whisking together all the listed ingredients in a small pan and saute for 5 minutes.
  • Make the apple topping by mixing the butter, ginger and honey in a small pan and frying the apple slices in this mixture for a few minutes till tender.
  • Fry the sage leaves in a little olive oil till crispy.
  • Serve the chops covered in the creamy sauce and topped with the spiced apple and a fried sage leaf on top

This recipe serves 2 people but is super easy to scale up for more servings.
