Pick all the yellow petals off the dandelion heads discarding the green parts and pack the petals into a jar
Peel lemon and squeeze ouot juice, add both to the jar along with the sugar and the vodka
Pop a lid on the jar and set aside in a cupboard for 2 weeks to mature
Strain the liqueur through 2 layers of muslin or kitchen paper till it is clear and golden and decant into a sterilised bottle

Wear plastic gloves to remove the petals from the green bases of the flowers as this is a messy task. Have a good movie on TV while you do this as it takes a while!Your dandelion liqueur will keep for up to a year in a cool cupboard.Serve this liqueur either ice-cold as shots, with ice or as part of a cocktail too.
