Friday night was the wrap party for The Hour. We all trooped along to a west end bar and set up camp for a fabulous evening. This is Michelle and I when the night was young.
The girls were out in force.
Smiles, smiles everywhere.
Catching up with old friends.
Rousing speaches from the boss and free bar all night. A good night had by all really. This Cinderella made tracks and headed home on the midnight train, resisted the temptation of The Corinthian knowing it could only lead to The Lost Weekend. It was a great fun in every way.
Alas on Saturday morning I was not in great fun mode. In fact I was just a teensy tad hungover (who, me?) and felt compelled to eat own bodyweight in carbrohydrates to compensate. When you find yourself stuffing your face with a pie on way out of Tesco you know things are bad.
I’d offered to help Ali with insulating her new house. This had seemed like a good plan a few days before. Now I was lucky if I could lift the lightweight insulation panels. The ladder was way out of the question for me. At one point I just curled up on top of the nice shiny insulation sheets and had a little nap.
Saturday night was girls night in with take away and dvds to celebrate the insulation work of the afternoon. Was very slow on the wine uptake, in fact I almost (but not quite) abstained completely.
Sunday was sunshine in the garden. Sending Idgy to harvest honeysuckle (there’ll be a post on that later this week in Herbs) up a tree.
Cats basking in the sunshine.
Friends round for cocktails and a BBQ in the evening. Oh how we Brits have to make full use of every ray of sunshine and every once of decent weather.
Chilled out and well fed. A nice ending to a good weekend.
Hope your weekend was wonderful.
