Pork Chops With Apples And Sage
An easy recipe for pork chops served with an apple and sage creamy sauce and topped with ginger spiced apple.
- 2 pork loin chops
- 1 tbasp coconut oil
- 4 sage leaves minced
- 1 tbsp cider vinegar
- 125 ml/1/2 cup apple juice
- 125 ml/1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 125 ml/1/2 cup chicken or vegetable stock
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- salt & pepper to taste
- 2 slices of apple
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 tsp runny honey
- 2 sage leaves
Grill the chops and set aside keeping them warm
Make the sauce by whisking together all the listed ingredients in a small pan and saute for 5 minutes.
Make the apple topping by mixing the butter, ginger and honey in a small pan and frying the apple slices in this mixture for a few minutes till tender.
Fry the sage leaves in a little olive oil till crispy.
Serve the chops covered in the creamy sauce and topped with the spiced apple and a fried sage leaf on top
