This photo comes courtesy of Isobel Bheag who emailed it to me this morning after reading yesterdays blog about how dumbo here had managed to forget their camera at the village fair on Friday night.
Well thanks to Isobel you now have this photo to show just how busy our little village hall was. In the fashion of all "Where's Wally" pictures you can hunt for me.
Actually I'm right in the middle beside the blue boards, look like I'm in a shaft of light somehow. Blonde hair and light green jacket.
Thanks Isobel for doing this, great to have blog readers on the ball and bailing me out!
Today is another TV day and I'll be doing Christmas booze recipes. Goodies to make now and stash away to be ready in time for giving at christmas. There will be lemoncello, fireworks Vodka and Christmas Cheer which is guaranteed to blow your head off and give you Christmas in a glass.
Must admit I have enjoyed the trials and prep for this programme. One must of course make sure that everything one produces on TV is of highest standard and safe to use. To this end I have (of course) felt obliged to test and test again just to be sure. My own hooch has been stewing away for weeks now and was all ready this weekend to be strained and decanted. Just a wee test to check for flavour, hmmmmmmm, maybe not quite right, another little sip just to be sure, mmmmmmm, yes that is good……… and now on to the next one… hick!
So now it's all packed up and ready to go. Bags of lemons, oranges, cinnamon sticks, rosemary, sugar and bottles of Brandy and Vodka are clinkingly at the ready. Let me know if you want me to put the recipes up here for you.
Right, now this is important, pin back those ears. I have news to share, joy to spread. So I want you to be ready to celebrate with me tomorrow. Have a bun or cake ready with that cup of coffee, a choccie to hand or if you read in evening a glass to raise.
Not telling what it is, hang on till tomorrow. Nothing like a bit of aaaaaaanticipaaaaaaaation!!!!!
