Eeek typepad has changes the composition page and l am now completely lost in writing this blog. I can't seem to change the text size or colour or anything. This has sent me into a real tail spin as anything on this computer that is beyond me seems to do. Anyone out there who knows what they are doing please advise.
As you will see from the above photo the weather here has been nothing but wet, wet, wet – and not a Marty Pellow in sight! it has seemed more like Autumn than mid August, good old HQ certainly looks a tad different in this murky weather than it does in those Country Living photos. Speaking of CL and that article, l have finally seen it! Jane was here today and brought her copy. Well it was great to read all that lovely text that makes me sound rather too perfect and just a tad like Heidi, or is it Snow White with seven little friends missing, anyway someone who would dwell in that quaint little hansel and Gretal cottage making gorgeous goodies and being totally calm. Got into a total flap about the photos of course, l hate pictures of me and have been known to snip myself out of group shots. Jane was of course the voice of reason and did her usual 'talking me down off the roof '(metaphorically speaking of course) and making me laugh. We had a good afternoon of coffee, chat, fabric trading, book exchange and brain storming. Your average meeting of Sow Sew Scottish in fact.
Afterwords it was back to HQ and the sewing maching and watching all that rain through the windows. I am sewing like mad to fill the orders from the article and making mad dashes to the village Post Office every afternoon with my bundle of packages. This is keeping Nan (post mistress) happy as l seem to be about the only person around just now as everyone on holiday before the school goes back on Thursday.
Well it is 8pm now and l have a pile of Christmas hearts to paint, have lit the stove, have glass of wine at the ready and paint brush poised for action.
