Ain’t the weather wonderful! From Sunday to Tuesday we had snow on snow. Lovely, beautiful, silent and delightful.
All was calm.
All was bright.
Folks just kind of got on with things – donned the wellies and furry boots, scarf, hat ad 3 pairs of gloves, dug out the car, put on the snow chains, and of course fed the birds. Sheila is a star at this and is a big squirrel fan too, go Sheila!!
There was fun in the snow!
Buddha was of course totally chilled out about it all.
It were grand!
Then yesterday it started to rain.
The wind started to blow.
And be pretty damn nasty.
The school is closed due to severe weather warnings. Of course I didn’t know this because I am a Radio 2 fan. What a silly billy I am. If I listened to the local radio (aparently called West Sound) then I would have known that the schools were closed.
Funny how they zap out a text to you faster than the speed of light if your child doesn’t show up by 9am sharp. But can’t apparently send out texts re weather warnings closing schools. Ho hum, such is life. Idgy enjoying a duvet day but seriously pissed off that no snow to play in.
It is horribly wild and windy and wet up here on Walton’s Mountain.
Wish I was somewhere else…..
The Seychelles maybe?
Where would you be right now?
