I’ve been keeping a secret from you all year. I have been secretly sewing like mad in HQ, turning all my stash of vintage fabrics, sheet music, antique beads, vintage ephemera, ribbons, lace, swarovski crystals and jewelery findings and all sorts of other things into these Christmas ornaments filled with my secret mix of organic herbs and spices.
A bit of a throwback to the Dream Acres herb crafting that I did a good few years ago? Well yes a bit, but I wanted to use all those bits and pieces I had, make a
batch collection of things that were really gorgeous and not pretending to be anything they are not – hey, these are little naturally scented ornaments, follies if you will.
I came up with the name Tresori from the French word for treasure ‘tresor’ and then an i at the end for a little Italian twist. They are my little treasures ready for you to hang on your Christmas tree.
It is a small collection, 14 pieces in total, hearts, snowballs, an old fashioned dropper, a dove and a gorgeous basket.
Numbers are limited on everything as I have nothing left to make any more with. This is it, the true definition of a limited edition!
Each and every item is filled with my herb and spice blend with is beautiful and strong and will last for years. You just give a wee squeeze to get that scent going again. They are unbreakable being made from fabrics and stuffed completely with the herbs so no polyfill or anything like that at all.
The hearts, snowballs and drops all measure approximately 10cm. The doves are about 20cm beak to tip of tail, and the little baskets measure approximately 15cm wide.
The Tresori site has just gone live. If there are any broken links etc we will get that fixed just as fast as we possibly can.
All of my Tresori goodies are only available on the web site and at the Country Living Magazine Fair (SECC Glasgow 22-25 November), there will be no more made.
I really want to bow out from the making and selling type of crafting. This is my way of doing it, with a celebration of everything I have loved in the crafting, all the vintage charm, the victoriana look, the mix and match of past and present, and of course the fabulous scent of the herbs and spices.
The Tresori collection is all ready to go.
Please wander over to Tresori and take a look at my little treasures. I’d love to know what you think.
