I know the summer is ending, not just because even the English schools have just gone back (our kids went back 2 weeks ago) but because it’s time to cut back my beloved daisies.
I have to cut back the giant daisies that grow wild in my garden and completely cover the paving all summer.
At their height they are like a fabulous floral cloud that I walk through every morning on the way to HQ. To sit amongst them is nothing short of a joy.
Cutting them down isn’t.
This is the pile of cuttings.
I started to haul out weeds too. Thought that was going a tad too far and managed to stop myself before I ran the risk of really gardening.
Now stuck with huge pile of greenery and wheelbarrow out of commission due to demise in the sheep department – don’t ask.
Ah the joys of the country, again…..
