Tangled up in Blue

By Karon Grieve 5 Comments

Blue5

Grab a cuppa and settle down for a bit. Think of Blue, now let's get all tangled up in Blue.

Blue4

Open a worn blue door into …….

A shed, a stable, a house. Never mind, our blue door can open into anywhere you want.

Blue6

Friends in blue.

Blue3

Blue; so traditional on crockery. A standard colour, a safe colour, it will go with everything.

Blue2

The prettiest blue flowers in the world – Scottish bluebells. The woods around here will be full of them soon. A delight to all senses, summer on her way.

Blue7

Buggles is blue. Cheerful and bright, wheels for escape (soon dear feet, soon!).

Blue1

Blue and white so classic on fabrics. Napkins, table linen, fresh and clean. Age merely improves the look, faded is best,

Blue9

Blue ribbons and bows, for winners and gifts, and great big soppy old pussycats.

Blue8

Blue celebrations. Ice cold champagne in vintage bucket. Clinking glasses with friends and family, raising a glass to the future.

Blue10

Sky blue, winter or summer, huge blue skies, clear and endless. Lose yourself in the colour, float away in the space.

Blue, my favourite colour.

What's yours?

Mine has to be green. The colour of new growth, the tiniest seedlings appearing bright green against the brown earth. Will they be flowers or food, who knows, who minds, they are symbols of fresh life.
Green the colour of my eyes and the colour my lovely Hubby thought his were when he filled in his details on the internet site we met through. If he hadn’t have put he had green eyes I would never have contacted him and met the love of my life!! (He has the most remarkable blue scottish eyes.)

Do you need to ask? 😉 Why blue of course! I am always going on about blue. Today the glimpses of blue I can see are the sky in between the clouds, the picnic table, my ahem…dressing gown which yes I am still wearing…my phone and crockery. 🙂

Your title of yout post today reminds me of the Bob Dylan song, “Tangled Up in Blue”…..Such pretty photos. I like the color yellow. So bright and shiny. My bedroom was painted yellow when I was young and it was always so cheery. Our weather is anything but here today, overcast with heavy rains. We have a flash flood watch out here in NW Indiana. How are you doing, Karon?

I made my cuppa in a Cornishware blue and white striped mug, and enjoyed reading your blue theme today as I look out at a frosty morning and a splendid blue sky here in the land downunder! I don’t have one particular favourite colour; I favour different colours for different things. I don’t like blue colour scheme in my house because it seems cold in winter. I love navy blue, pink, lime green or orange clothing. I love green in almost every tone. I think I just like many colours to be in my life.

I’m with you on the blue, though most of my clothes are black – slimming you see!
