My addiction to pesto is well known on this blog so it seemed obvious that I’d be baking something with pesto for Christmas gifting hampers, that’s where my pesto pinwheels come into play. I like to put sweet and savoury goodies into my hampers and these are just perfect.
As you all know I just love pesto, I’ve made it with everything from the usual herbs to veggies, weeds and even fruit. I’ve even made pesto ice-cream and writted a book about the stuff, so making pesto butter seemed totally logical to me.
I love nasturtiums and plant them every year. Their colourful petals are to bright and sunny against all the greenery of my herbs and the whte of the giant dasies that are prolific in my garden. I use them in this nasturtium pesto and lots of other recipes too.
