Cozying up for Christmas. Lighting the fire and the candles. Enjoying the smells, sounds and sights of the season.
These are just scenes in my living room. Little bits of my Christmas I thought you might lilke to see.
Would you beleive I am using my old fake tree that I bought a few years ago for fair displays. I went down to the local tree farm last week and their trees were either huge or pretty sorry looking. I decided that I’d use what I have to hand and you know what, I like it. I like my fake tree. It is standing on the old garden table I brought from my parents house so many years ago, a table that held many a tree for us when we were kids. There is no chance of this lightweight tree falling down so I am safe from being trapped underneith it this year……
I like jazzing up little areas rather than decorating one big space. Pearls and beads and a few silvery baubles look icy along with dried lavender, old stone and crystal bottles.
Boris gets his crown again and looks as impassive as ever on the mantlepiece.
Baskets decked in holly and baubles, tartan ribbons and a few berry lights.
And a fairy on the tree of course.
How have you decorated your house this Christmas?
