Still singing this little friend from Christmas past. He has had his season of being top bird, the festive feathered friend and winged messenger of the Christmas wish.
More snow, more pretty robin photo opportunities. Snow is the perfect foil for him, in fashion speak, it is just SO him.
Another of yesterdays photos. Okay a tad more mundane in the subject matter, but there is something about its sheer mundanity (is that a word!) that I like. It is life in the freezer, pegs usually signifying breezy fresh weather, sunshine, and clothes and sheets flapping in the breeze. Here they are in their off season, unused, forgotten on the frozen washing line. But there they are like soldiers lined up and ready for action.
Well school is back today, winter olympics were completed in the field yesterday, lots of clothes hung all over the aga to dry out and house stripped of all remotely pleasant foodstuffs. You would be forgiven for thinking I had had a pack of starved dingos in my kitchen yesterday, not just two pre-teen girlies in from the cold.
The snow has brought lots of unexpected fun up here, now it's back to reality, school uniform, homework bags and desperately scrabbling about for something for the pack lunch since everything 'nice' seems to have been snaffled by that elusive food fairy.
