Sheep in snow, they’re everywhere round here. Nothing n-ewe in that…
Hang about. There’s something strange and maybe a tad wooden about that smiling sheep. Eeegads! An interloper, a sheepish spy – whatever next!

As you can see life carries on in it’s merry way up here on our hill. I was at the BBC in Glasgow yesterday doing the first of my stints with Fred on the McAuley & Co radio show. We made crackers and there I was rolling up paper and loo tubes and generally being very much the keen crafter. Ah it was going so well. Too well really. I had remembered to put in the little gift (Choccies) and hat and joke, so far so good. I had remembered to put in the snap, oh yes and I told everyone to tape it down so it wouldn’t fall out. Oh I was good.
Alas when I had finished my masterpiece Fred and Anna (the other presenter) decided to put my cracker to the test. Would it work, would it oblige with a nice big bang.
Would it hell.
In my haste I hadn’t taped down the snap well at one end and as the thing was pulled the snap just pulled right through. Hellish things don’t go off with the bang you are expecting.
Ho hum, such is life. Here is the link to the BBC iplayer site where you can hear the programme – McAulay & Co.
Todays little escapade at the BBC will find me tackling gift wrap. Ah yes, there will be scissors, sleotape, tissue, leaves, cellophane – oh no, all manner of things for me to forget or get tangled up with! Do listen in if you get the chance. I shall be calmness and perfection personified, I shall see Kirstie Allsopp in my mind and resist all temptation to wrap myself in tape and get stuck to the microphone. The scisasors will snip and the paper will do as it is told. All will be wonderful.
Wish me well…..
