Meditation – now there’s a word. It is a word I have struggled with for a long time. I’ve wanted to be able to do it, to meditate, to relax, to lose myself and calm my mind, but hey those manic mind monkeys get me every time.
The minute I try to meditate the manic monkeys climb all over me and remind me that I haven’t finished the work I was meant to be doing, there isn’t enough milk in the fridge, what am I going to make for supper, did I feed the cat or not, must lose weight, where is the ferret? You name it I will think of it the minute I try to calm my mind.
I’ve tried lots of different meditation techniques over the years and one I really do get benefit from is the guided meditations from a company called Meditainment.
