Staying in the moment. Meditation. Slowing down.
Back to the Mindfulness Group to give it another try. Other people seem to master this meditation business, I am determined that I will be one of them.
Just let your mind go free (God I wish this was a beach and I was in France) .
Bring it back to your breathing (haven't prepared anything for supper, what's in the cupboards, sure that ham's out of date, must stop at Sainsbury's).
Ground yourself on an outside sound, hold it and imagine it (wonder where that car is going, maybe Sainsbury's where I would get the bread, pasta, mustn't forget the ham………..).
Bring your mind back to your breathing (wonder what the time is, could be doing so many things, wonder where that car was going. Must remember something, oh yes, got to go to Sainsbury's. God I wish I was on a beach in France).
I really haven't got the hang of this stuff at all.
My best form of relaxation. Meditating over a cappuccino (drumroll and round of applause for Pete here, this has to be his most artistic coffee yet). Thinking thoughts, losing thoughts, remembering to stop at Sainsbury's on the way home.
Promise I will take this seriously and give the meditation another try. Has anybody else ever tried this?
