These are the faces I see when I go for my run every morning. They are calm faces, they look at me as I pant, sweat and gasp my way past, and I can almost imagine them talking to me like the rabbit that used to advertise Cadbury's Caramel. A very deep sexy voiced rabbit who would purr, 'relax and take it easy with Cadbury's Caramel' . They must think I am mad.
Yesterday I reached the dizzy heights of doing a three mile run, instead of my usual 2 miles. I won't say I reached that nirvana moment that runners talk about, I have never felt anything but plain old relief that the run is over far less feel Ecstasy. Anyway I did feel somewhat overjoyed at pushing myself that bit further.
My furry friends in the fields looked on calmly as I staggered past them. My only gripe (apart from my ongoing general gripe about running in the first place) is that Terry Wogan is still on holiday and there is no Janet and John on the radio to make me laugh as l bound along. Hope Terry is back soon to give me some laugh power.
See John bounding round the lanes in skin tight zebra print leggings, thigh length trainers, feather boa and tricorn hat, John likes running, do you?
