It's official, we are snowed in! Snow, snow everywhere, over a foot of the stuff, and not a snow plough in sight.
So magical, so, so Christmassy, so special, just fabulous. Thank goodness I picked up the turkey yesterday and we have all the veg etc ready. No need to go out, just hole up here by the fire and maybe venture out to play in the snow.
Every year we have carol singing in the village, we all wander around en mass singing at strategic points, the Church, the school, the shop, the corner. We are a large group (half the village really) and 90% can't sing a note. Does that matter, not a jot! This is one time when it really is a case of 'it's the taking part that counts', none of us could reach for the X factor, but we follow the star (on a stick) and shamble round the village making enough noise to wake the dead if not the Holy child. Friends will come in for mulled wine and mince pies, Christmas will begin.
I hope you are happy, safe and well wherever you are, I hope your Christmas is a peaceful one, and at the same time merry and bright. I'd just like to say a huge THANK YOU for reading my blog and for writing with so many lovely comments and for giving me so much support.
Have a wonderful Christmas and may all your wishes come true.
