BookGiveaway

Tra ta ta (imagine drum roll here) – and the winner is…..

Jane, who seems to have her 'comfort' stash all over the place and can never remember what she has – always a good excuse for adding more!

Hopefully this book will inspire you to use up some of your goodies, then you have the perfect excuse to add even more.

There has been further development on the Birthday Front. Cinema and then 'dinner' at family pub/restaurant right next door to cinema. No not McDonald's.

I am definitely in favour of this one. The thought of eleven pre-teens rampaging round my house is not right up there at the top of my 'Fun things to do on a Friday evening' list.

This way I can do the extras; fancy birthday crown for my girl, made from stuff from my very own stash, whole stack of yummy cupcakes (twelve) each with a candle, instead of a standard birthday cake, I can even use my little cake stand I used to use for the cup cake  scenters I used to make. Reuse and recycle,  what a greenist I am!

Ah yes, I can see this coming together now. Lazy mother mode now in full swing.

So what are you all up to this weekend?

I am going to move back to my own bedroom upstairs, after almost 3 months in the tiny spare room downstairs. Shall miss the spare room, it was like sleeping inside a little comfy cloud – due to my funny cloudy pinkish paintwork on the wall, not due to damp!

Have a good weekend.

Karon x

The birthday plan sounds great, I’m sure the birthday girl and her friends will love it. Also good to hear you can climb the stairs again! If you’ll miss the spare room, just take an afternoon nap there every now and then…
It’s been incredibly warm here for a couple of days, people are busy in their gardens and children happily playing out, people roller skating, cycling, walking their dogs, all outside enjoying the warm weather. Love the sounds and sights of all that. I’m going to do some serious house cleaning this weekend, for the summer to come in. On the other hand, I could go for a long walk and then sit in the garden, crocheting … mmmm, what should I choose?

Congratulations, Jane! It looks like a great book. Enjoy! Glad to hear you are back in your bedroom, Karon. It is funny how we can get used to another room when we have to, and are sad when we have to leave it. Sounds like you have some nifty ideas for Idgy’s birthday party. I am so excited for you and her just reading about it. Keep us informed on the progress and I hope you will share pictures with us. Enjoy the weekend!
