Played hooky today with Holly and her daughters and of course Idgy. After days spent swithering about should we, shouldn’t we go and ‘do you think the weather will get better?’ we finally decided that we would chance the dreaded rain and take the girls to Louden Castle theme park near Galston. I have to say we were really lucky with the weather, only drizzle and a bit overcast in the morning, but boy oh boy did it rain in the afternoon just as we were about to leave. The girls had a fab time and all in all it was a great day out.
Back home in the afternoon to an hour of ironing interfacing on to old eiderdown fabrics. Now l have to be the very first to admit to a deep loathing of this household chore, I am a great beleiver in the ‘lived in’ look when it comes to my clothes, so who in their right mind would have thought that l would end up doing so much of it for my work for goodness sake! At least l managed to catch up with the world of ‘Richard & Judy’ as I beavered away, and only managed to weld one patch of fabric to the iron when l had the interfacing the wrong way round!
I’m hoping to use some of this newly lined fabric to create some new goodies for the web site tomorrow, so l should have some prototypes to show you soon.
Enough chat for today, off to do some reading.
