Two things can be spotted from the above photo.
Number one are the rather fetching glitzy flip flops. A prezzie from Tracey who brought them all the way from Mauritius for me. I love all the sparkly sequins and the tiny little coloured turtles on them, a huge step forward from my usual clumpy birkenstocks, these are going to France.
Number two is the rather puffy football like ankle, uuugh!
Number two I didn't even notice till I was in the bath last night. strange thing is that when we were at Loch Lomond the other day I felt I had a sore ankle, you know that feeling as if you have rolled your foot over and it just won't straighten out properly. Anyway it sort of niggled all day. Yesterday morning it was fine and I had completely forgotten about it so did my run as usual. It wasn't till I was in the bath lolling about like a trapped walrus, that I suddenly spotted this football floating amid the bubbles, eeeeek my foot!
Instantly feel sorry for myself and have to spend the rest of the evening with foot on stool on top of coffee table. No running this morning. This is the first time I haven't been able to run due to an injury – how dramatic! Just hope it has gone down by Saturday evening when we leave.
Tracey and Max left yesterday morning, our annual catch-up is over for another year. Already the house seems too quiet and I keep thinking of more things I want to say. I spent the day typing up new trade information and printing off trade flyers to mail out today. Today I shall update the web site with the other new goodies I have been working on. I shall be boring and play safe today, foot up, laptop where it should be (on lap I guess) and coffee at my side, an exciting day will be had by all.
