Idgy arrived the other day and we visited Pau, the capital of the Bearn region. It is the birthplace of Henri IV of france – more on him another day when I take you into the Chateau de Pau.

Meanwhile this is the Church of st martin in the centre of the town.

A beautiful building both inside and out, magnificent in size and structure, but with a calming heart.

It offers respite from blazing sun, husstle and bustle.

Cool quiet and time to think.
