Forgive the blog for being so messy just now. We (my lovely techy pal and I) are doing some construction work, though I have to admit right now it looks more like destruction as there is hardly anything on here. But never fear dear reader things will be sorted out very soon and you’ll see this lovely crisp fresh new look in all it’s glory.
January always makes me feel that I have to clear out and detox. This applies to my body, mind, clothes and home, now even the blog – nothing is safe from my fastidious detox fairy! So ‘bear with’ as they say on Miranda and I’m sure you’ll like the new streamlined look when it’s finished.
Speaking of detox, my bookshelves are taking a major hammering in this department and I am being ruthless – there will be no ruth left at this rate! I am horrified by the piles of books that are stacking up on the floor. These are the books I have removed from the shelves because; a) well out of date information, b) never liked it anyway, why the hell did I buy it, was too lazy to return the damn thing to Amazon three years ago, c) no interest any more, and d) load of crap.
I am such a book addict I have doubles of some. Brand new unopened doubles. I ask you, what a pratt! I also have books that are new and just never used as just ‘not me’, kept in hopes of becoming ‘me’ but we never really met up anywhere along the line.
Anyway I’ve been wondering what I could do with some of these and have decided to do some little Giveaways on the new unopened copies that I have. These include such gems as ‘Print’ by Cath Kidston, books on Country Style, Crafting, Cooking, Entertaining etc. I’m going to sort them out and each month do a special BOOK GIVEAWAY here on the blog. These will just be simple, make a comment type giveaways, so no major pressure there girls!
Let me get the books sorted out this week and maybe make a special section of the blog for this and we will launch this new venture next week with our first ever Book Giveaway.
Speaking of Detox, well we were way back at the top of the page, I will be on BBC Radio Scotland tomorrow talking about Detoxing Your Home and helping someone to do just that live on air. Really exciting, listen in if you can. Will remind you again tomorrow.
Now, why the piccie of garden head on this post? Well I’m off to the garden centre this morning for coffee with the Lovely Lis.
