Yesterday was a good day. The weather was stunning and I spent all day working outside HQ on the deck, it was pure joy.
Things went right. You know how some days you feel like you are beating your head against a brick wall and can't get a handle on anything. Well yesterday things fell into place, and designs l have been fretting over for ages actually worked.
I have to admit, I was getting a tad stressed about the thought of this Harrogate trade fair looming up in July, and me not having my Christmas ideas ready. Most things were ready, if you count being inside my head as being remotely ready for anything!
I had got my Tweedy Pie robins sorted out and have a good display of them ready, but I had Scenty Snowballs still to work out, they were just not playing the game, my ideas just didn't work in real life. Well yesterday after some false starts, they finally did and I am thrilled!! My old faithful cup cakes have a new twist for Christmas and are ready to go. There are gingham and velvet hearts, embroidered hearts and gorgeous tiny gift hearts. What next ~ Christmas stockings. That's my job for next week. I have a pile of the most sumptious rich red vintage velvet that my friend Robert (local antiques shop) found for me, and of course the vintage blankets, something is coming together and it's festive!!
Have a lovely weekend.
