The view from the STV studios last night. It may be fuzzy and have reflections showing, but I like this picture. It proves that I actually made it out of Narnia just for a little while.
Look who came with me to TV land! Idgy's school was closed so she was at a loose end and came along to see what her mum gets up to on the box. Couldn't resist snapping this pic in the green room, Idgy with BAFTAS and Michelle and Stephen live on TV beside her.
It was a hilarious show last night. I was doing herbal hangover cures and Michelle and Stephen were trying them out. Alas the 'Morning Mary' (tomato juice, herb packed concoction) was just a tad strong and brought tears to her eyes. This started us all giggling and things went from bad to worse, all I can say is that we certainly looked a happy bunch on TV.
Now to cap all this off as Idgy and I are driving home after the show we decide to stop for chips (yes, yes lazy mother here who couldn't be bothered to cook and had a yen to add yet more calories to the mountain I have been stuffing in of late). We trot into the chip shop just outside glasgow and the woman serving is looking at me strangly, she keeps sneaking a look as she makes up our order. Finally she comes out with it, "You werenae just on the telly were yeh?" and points to the inimitable box in the corner set to STV. "Er yes" I mutter thinking she is going to say what a pratt I with all my giggling. "Aw you were that funny, we didnae know those presenters could be so entertaining, it was brilliant".
This is the icing on the cake for Idgy. Mum recognised in a chip shop, wow!
Tonight it is our 'office Christmas party' for The Hour, so off to the bright lights of Glasgow, getting glammed up, staying over in an hotel and will even hit the shops in the morning. Now that's what I call a treat.
Have a great weekend,
