How To Transform And Customise Your Clothes
by Jayne Emerson
This months Book Giveaway is a great one for anyone who fancies revamping their wardrobe a bit and making their old clothes go that little bit further.
This is a gorgeously colourful book that covers three different change areas; Changing Colour, Adding Decoration and Changing Form. Jayne shows you step by step how to dye clothes, embroider and trim them, or snip them up and create something brand new. There are over 30 exciting ideas here for you to choose from.
The photography is beautiful and there are some amazing drawings too.
I particularly liked the snazzy shoe ideas and how to make a silk scarf into a dramatic top.
All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning this great book is zap me a comment telling me what your favourite piece of clothing is. Mine is a shirt I’ve had since I was 26. It was bought at a sale in a fancy shop in Edinburgh and was my first designer buy. An Emmanuelle shirt in pale blue with a tiny glittery thread stripe through it. A casual and fun shirt that I have worn every year (apart from when I was way too fat for a few years and then it resided in the dressing up box for Idgy, when I lost weight it was back in my wardrobe yet again!) and if you worked out the cost per wear it would be peanuts. Every time I open the wardrobe and see it there it makes me smile. It is my summer shirt and holds so many memories.
Let me know by 6pm Sunday 8th April when winner will be chosen at random.
Open to all readers wherever you are.
