Afternoon delight

By Karon Grieve 4 Comments

Sunday1

A sunny Sunday afternoon in downtown French countryside. A gathering of friends old and new, French and English.

Sunday2

Music, music everywhere. children playing their very best, showing skills beyond their years.

Sunday7

Playtime for all, so many kids running, playing and having fun. Drinks on tables, Mojitos filled with fragrant mint, Rose wine, chilled, chilled water and fruit juices just bursting with flavour.

Sunday4

Was there food, well of course – cake. No store bought fancy French confections today tho'. We all made out own specialities and brought them along.

Mine was a simple sponge with wild caraway seeds picked from a friend's meadow, and filled with lashings of my  golden plum jam made last week.

Calories, what calories?

Sunday9

French friends, chatting and making me try my best to follow along.

Sunday8

Time passes in a lazy way with no stresses, no reminders of things to be done, jobs to do.

Sunday6

Good music, jamming! The perfect background  to the perfect day.

Sunday3

Oh and not forgetting the pets too.

a bientot mes amis.

Karon x
