The other day (the day of the uneventful fair) I posted a photo showing my new Spiced Apples in a little basket. Well here is a close up of said apple. The apples are filled with my popular 'Country Spice' mix and smell gorgeous. They will be available to SECRET GARDEN members later this month. The Secret Garden is my Dream Acres newsletter, a monthly page on the web site with offers, product previews, recipes, hints and tips. If you would like to join just leave a comment here and l will zap you through the link.
It is 7am just now (yep, still on those early starts!) and it is wet and windy (and no doubt cold, but l haven't stuck my head out of the door yet), it looks and feels like Autumn. This is not the sort of weather that makes you want to pull on those running shoes and hit the lanes. Actually if l am totally honest, does any weather really make me want to run – not really – it is very much a chore to me.The only thing that keeps me doing it is the thought of my size 12 jeans and that l want to keep getting into them (I was a size 20 in jeans on 1st Jan this year).
Anyway enough of that. Yesterday Jane and Julie (she has a business called Totally Tartan that makes the most gorgeous cushions) came for lunch and chat. Julie is doing the Country Living fair in Glasgow for first time this year, and having looked at her stand plans l am sure she will do wonderfully. As ever, Jane and l worried about our lack of stock, so what else is new!
This is not getting that running done, I must away…….
