Well here it is at long last me on Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas TV show for Channel 4. It was shown last night (18th December) so I’m now allowed to blog about it and show and tell. To be part of this prestigious show was an honour and a privilege and oh so much fun!
Oat and Almond Crumble Crackers are a sort of fusion of Scottish and French biscuits, a wee bit of the Auld Alliance here between Scotland and France. These biscuits are savoury but without any added flavourings so you can pair them with both savoury and sweet toppings.
Scotch Mist Liqueur is my own personal take on the world-famous Drambuie (pronounced Dram-Boo-ee) liqueur from good old Scotland. The original is made from whisky, Scottish heather honey and a secret blend of herbs and spices. My version contains whisky (of course), honey and my own blend of herbs and spices, read on….
Spiced Apple Vinegar is another great little foodie gift that is easy to make and not something your friends will have come across in the shops. It is good to mix up your Christmas hampers and have sweet and savoury goodies, oils, vinegars, drinks, sweets, cookies etc, a good selection is always best.
