Yes I still have blackcurrants to use up so here is my recipe for Blackcurrant Salsa which makes a nice change from the usual tomato salsa and goes great with a BBQ or just with crisps, crackers and a good drink!

Spiced Blackcurrant Vodka is a liqueur rather than an infused alcohol, however if you don’t want it sweet just leave out the sugar and you’ll have a blackcurrant spiced hooch to top with soda or drink ice cold or on the rocks.
Fish a la Spetsae comes needless to say from the Greek island of Spetsai, one of the Saronic islands. If you like fish, tomatoes and a little bit of heat then this recipe is definitely for you and you can imagine the Greek sunshine as you enjoy eating it.
Kirsch is a classic drink but one that can be a tad expensive to buy. It is not a liqueur but instead is an infused alcohol which as well as being extremely tasty to drink is invaluable in the kitchen for cooking and baking.
These Greek fried meat balls can be served mini sized as a mezze starter as I’ve done here, or made in larger size and served as part of a main course with maybe chips and a salad on the side or with your favourite pasta. I love them like this as a little nibble along…
