Yesterday I stumbled into another world. Totally unexpectedly I found clues to something different and wonderful.
The first – A sign, a shell carefully placed just-so on a well chosen log.
Minou walking ahead shows me a neatly formed pile of twigs over a well worn track. A track of two foot prints, one cat, one smallish human.
I realise this is a cross country jump for a cat. The cat in question does not oblige for my camera. She merely sits and looks and almost invites me into this private little world she shares with Idgy.
An upturned tree, roots advancing skywards. My eye caught by a shimmer of green. A piece of broken glass tucked into the tangle to catch the light.
A bucket hanging in the fallen tree. Well filled with rain water.
A boat? A sign post? A piece of wood that she has carefully hammered a nail into. Another object in its own position, no haphazard placement here.
I wonder who created it?
That girl has a lovely imagination.
A girl and her cat, what stories do they tell and live in this, their own little world?
I step back through the gate, Minou by my side. I carefully swing it to again. I have touched nothing in that special place. I have enjoyed every single stolen minute of my visit and will treasure these images forever.
Wonderland; You don’t really need some fancy author, some billion dollar movie or anyone else for that matter to create it.
