Here we are in rehearsal yesterday. Michelle, me and stephen. Note I am the flat haired one in the middle, not made it to make up yet and got half drowned on way in from car.
Yesterday I was Getting Fruity and doing preserved lemons (yes I'm on a roll with lemons just now I think!), drying apple slices and drying chillies. It all went really well and I didn't manage to stab myself with knife, fall over cables or drop the props, relief all round.
The entertainment for the afternoon was Charlie the dog who had been brought it to try out the pet gadgets that were on view. Poor Charlie was thoroughly over excited by it all (thankfully not THAT over excited) and was bounding about everywhere. He was such a cute and friendly dog everybody fell in love with him. However, there was just no way he was going to play the game and jump into the Doggy Buggy that is apparently the "must have" item for the fashionista of pets. Frankly the thought of wheeling your hound in a specially adapted cost-a-fortune pram, just doesn't do it for me. What happened to "walkeeees!" , muddy paws, welly boots and a bit of exercise for both parties, can't see it catching on out here in the hinterlands.
Another fun day at the studios. The journey home was a nightmare in the torrential rain. The motorway was like a dodgems track with cars just bumping into eachother, crunching noises and frayed nerves. Thankfully Buggles and I escaped unscathed headed home, collected idgy and crashed out in front of the fire.
Winter is upon us, it's batton down the hatches and snuggle by the fire time. Today it's pricing and packing and sorting stock for the Dunlop Charity Fair on Friday evening. Really makes me feel Christmas is coming when the fairs start.
Keep warm and dry wherever you are
