How To Make Thyme Tea For Colds And Caughs

By Karon Grieve 4 Comments

February always seems to be the best month for catching a cold. It is a wee bit miserable and cold bugs just seem to take an unfair advantage of our sluggish systems.

Panic not, don’t hit the chemist, grab a handful of thyme leaves and some natural honey and treat yourself to some thyme tea for colds and caughs. It will will chase those sniffles and make you feel a whole lot better.

Thyme helps to clear the passages and is a natural healer. This easy to make tea really helps when you feel a cold setting in.

How to make thyme tea for colds and caughs;

Just boil the kettle and pour water over a good teaspoon of dried thyme leaves or 2 teaspoons of fresh leaves (bruise them a bit first to really release those precious oils) and cover and set aside for 5 minutes for the tea to ‘brew’ properly.

Now stir insome gorgeous honey to taste. This not only tastes good but helps ease a sore throat and is full of goodness.

Sip this in a hot bath at the end of the day. Then wrap up well and head straight for bed.

Keep colds at bay the natural way.

Karon x
