Last day of the holiday photos and I just have to show you some of my 'I'm a tourist' pix. One afternoon we went for a drive through the fabulous Pyrenees and on into Spain, these are just some of the spectacular views.
Views are serious stuff when you have scenery like this.
It all catches the breath and delights the senses.
These mountain trips tick all the boxes; Sights, well that's obvious, Sounds; cow bells gently clanging which you can hear for miles, Smell; flowers, flowers everywhere. Sheer heaven.
Ah but why should everything be tasteful and calm, oh no, we played tourist at the village fete. Now right away let us lose the image of a tea tent and a cake stall, no, this is a real fete, a four day extravaganza that includes the most amazing parade.
These guys were terrific, they played their music all the time and kept in perfect character.
~There were even camels!
And of course candy floss.
And on Sunday morning Bull Running. Maybe not on the scale of the famous Pamploma over in Spain, but this was exciting stuff all the same. Those bulls have horns that could very easily turn you into a kebab in seconds. That would certainly make me run faster!
So that's it guys, I shall close the door on my little French adventure. It was fabulous and I am revived and renewed and tanned and happy. Oh and I just can't wait to go back………….
