Today is National Stress Awareness Day so take a minute just to think about how stressy you are.
Do you let things get the better of you? Do you leap into panic and anger too quickly, if so you do yourself no favours in the health department, the chemical we release when we get into that Fight or Flight mode attacks our immune system and can pull us down in all sorts of nasty ways.
Try deep breaths when you feel stress building up inside you.
Try to imagine yourself outside the situation and not right in it.
Make full use of soothing essential oils like Lavender, Rose and Chamomile. Use them in an aromatherapy burner or just as drops on a tissue.
Drink a cup of soothing chamomile tea.
Laughter de-stresses us amazingly well, so watch a funny movie when you are at the end of your tether after a really stressful day. Let comedy sooth your soul and bring back your smile and relaxation.
Just be aware of stress and you’ll be able to nip it in the bud before it overwhelms you.
