I should never have mentioned the white stuff yesterday, it is now back with a vengeance.
We are back in the land of Narnia and Idgy is thrilled! What could be better on half term when things are getting just a tad boring. Now she is dusting of the sledges again and getting ready for Georgia coming this morning for full re-enactment of Winter Olympics.
It snowed and snowed and snowed all day yesterday, while we were snuggled by the fire watching silly movies and eating popcorn (low cals gals!).
I think it was all at its most magical when I opened the front door in the evening and all was dark. There were snowflakes falling like mini stars all around. Everything was silent, muffled, padded and blanketed in snow.
So this is the last day of the half term holiday. It will be a wrap-up-and-get-out-there day for the girls, and a make some heartwarming soup day for me. While they perform their high jinks on the slopes of the fields outside, I will get some work done in the kitchen. Yes HQ is still out of bounds due to the cold weather. While it looks romantic and beautiful out there, rest assured it is bloody freezing and no matter how many heaters you put on, your breath still clouds the air and fingers throb in their mits whilst trying to thread the sewing machine. I have learned that HQ is best admired from the kitchen window during these winter months.
So here we are back in Narnia, brrrrrr it's cold outside…..
