My heart belongs to summer.
Just look at this lone strawberry, how gorgeous, how perfect and how amazing to be still hangin’ in there when the garden looks like a tornado has it it with all the wind and rain we’ve been having lately.
I just find it amazing that there are still little unexpected treasures lurking out there. All is not lost!
Summer is well and truly over now, Autumn is upon us with all its mists and rain and falling leaves. Oh beautiful and stunning in it’s own right I know, but summer is always hard to let go. She hangs on to your heart with her warm personality and big sunny smile. She is light, she is action, she is fun!
This is my snap file of summer 2011. Running.
And not just fitness but new wonderful friends. Running is good!
Visits home and old traditions seen by new eyes. Memories jolted from the past, was that really me all those years ago?
Old friends coming home to Scotland, the thrill of the catch up after so many years.
A summer of Herbal, the book out with Stenlake Publishing.
Bob Doyle and making movies. Learning from the master and discovering new things. Battling with the ‘Can’t Do’ demons and coming out on top.
Reliving Christmas for the second time this year. Filming videos of Christmas crafts with fairy lights and holly and hot sun shining outside. Living in a topsy turvy world of images v. reality.
BBQs and parties with friends in the sun.
Playing tourist in my own country and seeing new places with old friends.
That gorgeous girl.
Furry friends of course!
And sunshine and flowers.
Twas a good summer all in all this Summer of 2011.
What were your highlights, big or small, what will you remember from this summer?
