On Steve Wright's afternoon show on Radio Two the other day, they were talking about blogging and what makes you a blogaholic. I listened with avid interest, am I such a creature I thought. Here are some of the criteria
Do you blog regularly
Do you read other blogs
Do you check your stats
Do you think of bloggy ideas and jot them down to use later
Do you contact other bloggers
Answer yes to that lot and bad news, you must be a blogaholic – I am.
Now here are a few I have added
Do you look at things and think they would make nice blog pictures
Have you made real friends within the blogging world
Can you 'sell' the whole blogging idea to other people
Do you feel guilty if you haven't done your daily blog
I really am a lost cause, I can answer yes to everything. I was out last night (it was one of those real last minute unplanned for outings – I was asked by one friend to go along on a girls night with two other of her friends that I didn't know ) and the conversation at the table between Isobel, Suzie, Dawn and I turned to the internet. We talked about Facebook and how none of us really had a clue about it (is this an age thing?) and of course we talked about blogs. 'You do it every day?', gasps of astonishment all round, 'What do you find to write about?'. I suddenly thought, 'eeek, maybe I am a bit odd' and then when I got home I thought 'this would make a great blog'.
Yes, dear reader it is confirmed – My name is Karon and I am a Blogaholic.
