Thanks for the emails and comments re the bullying that poor Idgy is going through just now. The fact that the protagonists are just up the road from us makes it all the more unbearable. There is almost a nest of nastiness there, with all the kids feeding off eachother and none seeming to have much in the way of parental control.
Enough, don't let me mount that hobby horse this morning, you'll never bet me down without a gun.
So I have decided to move, above is a piccie of my new small bejoux and compact home…….
Only joking, it's Hopetoun House.
Every year I do the Christmas fair at the stunning location of Hopetoun house just outside Edinburgh. This year I didn't book it, no money.
However after the success of Country Living last week and the craft demos, I've been asked to do Christmas herb crafting demos at Hopetoun House.
I've always loved Hopetoun House, apart from the stunning location, amazing building and general ambiance, it is a fun fair to do. There is more time to catch up with friends and everyone has that 'end of term' feeling.
So here I am, packing the crates, hefting the baskets and loading Buggles yet again. Have to say I am impressed that such a small car can hold so much stuff. When I bought her back in March I didn't think I would be doing any fairs, didn't imagine Buggles would be able to hold much in the way of stock. Well howdeedoodee, what a fab wee car, she is part Tardis, just wish David Tennant would pop out when I opened the door. Oh be still my beating heart………
Weather warnings of snow especially on east coast. Must wear an extra jersey in the car. Dear Buggles takes at least half an hour to heat up inside. usually you've reached your destination by the time you've thawed out. However Hopetoun is over an hour away so I should have defrosted by the time I get there.
show starts tomorrow and rund till Sunday afternoon. If you are in the Edinburgh area do come, it's a great day out at a beautiful place. Come and say hello.
