Well it's been a great weekend, tiring but fabulous. The Hour christmas party on Friday night was so much fun. Drinks then dinner at The Merchant City in Glasgow. There was even a kareoke machine (and yes I avoided that like the plague) and Michelle sang for us – totally amazing to have someone with a voice like that singing right there in the room for you.
It was so great to meet the other 'experts', people I've watched on the show years, suddenly you are there and can chat and get to know them. Everyone was so friendly.
People looked so different all jazzed up for the evening. Gone was the casual and approachable look of daytime tv. Instead suddenly eyes were bigger, dresses dramatic and hair big. The butterflies were out!
I never realised that there was such a huge crew involved in making the programme. There were 40 of us at the party and that wasn't the full team.
Why the pine cone picture? Well why not, still have some lovely snow pix on file and needed something for this post. I didn't take photos on Friday night, for me taking pix means I'll use them and I didn't feel right about taking photos and having them here, It would be intruding on other peoples privacy.
So you just have to believe me when I say it was a fabulous night, great food, great wine, great chat and the best company.
Thanks to The Hour for a fabulous night out.
Tomorrow you'll get to hear about our mission with the christmas tree, oh boy have I overdone it this time…….
