Hi guys, yet again problems with wordpress. Not only do I not have ability to upload photos, now none of your comments come through to me.
It was sheer joy this morning to click into this blog ready to write and wheehee, there were your lovely comments. Usually they would come through to me by email, but seems that service has gone by the wayside. Anyway you guys have made my day with all your wonderful words of support for Idgy.
She had to spend yesterday afternoon at the orthodontists getting measured up for teeth braces. We've known this was on the cards for years, now it will actually be happening within a matter of months. My gal is brave about the two teeth she'll have to have extracted and actually looks forward to the braces and wants glow in the dark or coloured types.
How I wish we'd had these options when I was a kid. How I wish I'd had braces and hadn't been a thumb sucker. Oh the years of squinty teeth I have endured and of course the costs of having them all crowned and veneered now to get that straight smile. Oh yes I am keen for Idgy to have good teeth and we've always talked about how most American kids wear braces as 'normal' and have fab teeth. Idgy has grown up with this as the idea of what will happen, now she just thinks, "at last, getting it done, bring it on".
Oh yes I know this will be yet more ammunition for those nasty little faux friends up the road, we will stay strong, she will have the lovely smile at the end of it all.
I will not be inflicting you with this photoless, comment shirking blog for much longer. Bear with me for a few days more and all should be ok.
PS Isn't this wonderful about the miners in Chile being brought up to daylight at last – so emotional, so joyful, just great.
