Last night after running round Glasgow like the duracel bunny in orange lycra (what an image) I popped in on the lovely Phoebe’s Cheese Tutorial at Fifi & Ally’s restaurant in George Square.
I might have mentioned before that my friend Phoebe is the cheese expert on The Hour and does all sorts of fabulous talks and demos on her subject under the moniker of The Roving Fromagerie.
She is a real enthusiast and really brings cheese to life like nobody else. I’d never realised there was so much to know about cheese. I just love eating the stuff, throw in crackers, oatcakes or French bread and I’m your man. But Phoebe can tell you everything (and I mean everything) about its make up, history, chemistry, you name it.
Fascinating stuff, no wonder this girl is such a star in foody circles. Phoebe I salute you.
