“Oh no, don’t be a blogger, all they do is tell people what they had for lunch”, so said a friend of mine four years ago before I started all this blogging caper.
You know she was right in a way, there are quite a few blogs out there that have little content that means much to other people. It can be a bit, “What I did on my summer holidays by Berti Bagshott aged 12 3/4”. But that’s okay, it is what someone wants to put out there and share with their friends, family and the world in general. I love the whole ethos of it, blogging is all about sharing, bit, small, good, bad, happy, sad, vastly important and totally insignificant. Everything is fabulous fodder for the bounty that is blogging.
I just kinda thought it was time I shared my lunch with you guys.
Nothing like ripe green figs, golden honey, pure white goats cheese, a sprinkling of freshly ground black pepper, some suculant parma ham and a bit of toasted baguette with unsalted butter.
Hmmmmmm makes your mouth water doesn’t it.
Now to wash it down lets go for some basil and lime soda. Just toss some ice cubes into a glass and add half a lime roughly chopped and a large basil leaf. Squish it about a bit to release the oils and top up with fizzy water.
Fizzy, sparkly, light and breezy, it goes down a treat.
So there you have it, the bloggers lunch. Interesting to the world in general? Probably not. But hey, it was tasty to me and has maybe given you an idea for your own lunch.
