Promise to stop with the birthday stuff after this one. Just had to show you a few photos from the Big Day itself.
My girl is not too old to climb on her Mum's bed to open her prezzies and Birthday Badger bag.
She can even do it in colour!
Someone else loves birthdays too, well any day that involves lots of crackly paper to play with, and the possibility of some sweets and cake.
Meanwhile back at the ranch kitchen, I am beavering away making the birthday cakes. Our girl made a clear choice for a stack of marbled cup cakes instead of the usual birthday cake. No pressure there then!
The cake in action, much oohing and aahing.
All in all the birthday tea went really well. Adults and cosmopolitans at one table, kids making disgusting drinks from sauce packets at their own table.
Although we went to see Prince Of Persia (seriously action packed, I was knackered just watching it), the girls couldn't resist posing by this giant Marmaduke promotion in the foyer. Had to fight off several little boys to get this photo.
The kids loved the film and thoroughly enjoyed being in the back row so they could have a popcorn firght and tie eachothers shoes together. I fairly scuttled from the cinema as the lights came up and the battle ground of popcorn and sweets hove into view.
So there she is, my birthday girl. Her day made even more special when she got home to a phone call from France from friends and animals all wishing her the best.
The best is what she deserves.
PS Huge THANK YOU for all your birthday wishes for Idgy yesterday, she was really chuffed to know you guys were thinking of her on her special day.
